Provide 1 cup of Tuar dal.
Provide 1 cup of rice.
You need 1/4 tsp of turmeric powder.
Take 1/2 tbsp of hing/asafoetida.

Provide 2 tbsp of ghee.
Get 2-3 of cloves.
Prepare 2 of Red chillies.
Get 1 tsp of cumin seeds.
Get 2 of green chillies.

Provide 1 tbsp of garlic cloves.
Provide 6-8 of curry leaves.
Take 3/4 tbsp of red chilli powder.

Steps to make Dal khichdi:

Combine Toor dal,rice,salt,turmeric powder,1/4 tbsp hing, add green peas and 4 cups of water in a pressure cooker and pressure cooker 3 whistles.

Heat the ghee in a khadai add the cloves, cumin seeds,green chillies, onion saute on a medium flame for a 1 minute.
Add tomatoes and red chilli,a little salt saute on a medium flame another 1 minute.
Add the cooked dal rice mixture and 1 1/4 cup water.mix well and cook on medium flames for 2 minutes,while stir occasionally.
