  1. Provide 1 cup of Tuar dal.
  2. Provide 1 cup of rice.

  12. Prepare 1/2 cup of chopped tomatoes.
  13. Provide 1 tbsp of garlic cloves.
  14. Provide 6-8 of curry leaves.
  15. Take 3/4 tbsp of red chilli powder.
  16. Take as needed of Green peas.

Steps to make Dal khichdi:

  1. Combine Toor dal,rice,salt,turmeric powder,1/4 tbsp hing, add green peas and 4 cups of water in a pressure cooker and pressure cooker 3 whistles.

  3. Heat the ghee in a khadai add the cloves, cumin seeds,green chillies, onion saute on a medium flame for a 1 minute.
  4. Add tomatoes and red chilli,a little salt saute on a medium flame another 1 minute.
  5. Add the cooked dal rice mixture and 1 1/4 cup water.mix well and cook on medium flames for 2 minutes,while stir occasionally.
